Handcrafted Ceramics
Local Ceramicist: Lilith Rockett
Lilith Rockett creates minimalist wheel-thrown porcelain and stoneware ceramics that celebrate the beauty in imperfection. Her tableware, vases, vessels, and teaware are made by hand in her Portland, Oregon studio. Many of Lilith’s pieces are left unglazed to highlight the natural clay and the character of the hand-making process. You can find a selection of her decorative vases and tea cups in Tributary’s rooms and lobby.
Pottery: Natasha Alfonse
Natasha Alfonse’s wood-fired vessels and stoneware are crafted to reflect the variability of nature, combining glazing and natural clay textures with earth-inspired tones. Her method involves firing the pieces in an Anagama-style wood kiln for 100 hours, which creates a natural glaze from the melted wood ash and atmosphere of the kiln. The Seattle-based artist draws inspiration from her background as part of the Denesuline tribe growing up in the Northern tip of Saskatchewan and her plates, bowls, and mugs can be found in each of our suites.
Beverages and Glassware
Coffee: Caravan Coffee
Caravan Coffee has been brewing premium coffee in northwest Oregon for over 20 years. A staple of Newberg, Oregon, Caravan’s beans are sourced, roasted, and brewed with intention, inviting customers to take their time and savor every last sip. Tributary’s brew of choice is Base Camp, a smooth and balanced light roast blend with nutty and dark fruit notes.
Teas: Smith Tea
Portland, Oregon-based Smith Tea offers small batches of loose-leaf organic teas with bold flavors. We have selected a morning and evening blend that can be found in all suites. Portland Breakfast is an assertive morning tea featuring malt, leather, spice, and a touch of peat. Caffeine-free Lullaby blends floral lemongrass, golden chamomile, and soothing ashwagandha with tasting notes of lemon curd, apple sauce, and sage.
Wine Glasses: Zalto
Zalto is a boutique Austrian company producing high-quality mouth-blown glass. This non-lead toughened glass stemware creates an unequaled feeling in the hand and perfectly transmits each pour of Oregonian wine. Zalto wine glasses can be found in all of Tributary’s suites.
Glassware: Kimura Glass
With a 110-year history in glassmaking, Kimura Glass creates masterfully thin, lightweight, and design-minded glassware in a variety of eye-catching designs. You can find this delicate glassware in each of Tributary’s rooms.
Bath Amenities
Aromatherapy: Aroma 360
Aroma 360’s high-quality oils provide a soothing aromatherapy experience while preserving the naturally-occurring therapeutic properties of essential oils. Tributary’s room scent is called Shadow Dancing, a stunning fragrance that opens with a eucalyptus lemon top note and features notes of rare oud wood, rosewood, and tonka bean.
Bath Salts and Bar Soap: Rough Cut Soap Company
Rough Cut Soap Company, based in Carlton, Oregon, creates beautiful soaps from high-quality, plant-based materials, essential oils, clays, and sustainably grown botanicals. Each soap is hand cut for a unique, natural finish and their bath salts combine a variety of natural salts with essential oils and herbs to create an indulgent, exfoliating experience. Tributary guests can experience our custom-made soap and salt called Forest Floor.
Luxury Bath Amenities: Le Labo Santal 33
A luxury fragrance brand focusing on soulful experiences and irreverent perfumes, Le Labo’s body products utilize natural ingredients like shea butter, sweet almond oil, and aloe that combine with its intoxicating signature scent, Santal 33, to create an unforgettable sensory experience. Santal 33 has notes of cardamom, iris, and violet that pair beautifully with smoking wood alloy and spicy notes. You’ll find Le Labo toiletry products in each of Tributary’s suites.
